TUITION STARTS WITH DELIVERING THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMAND AND CONTROL
Being able to drive safely and control how a vehicle reacts under certain pressures, stems from the driver's seating position. When adjusted correctly, the drivers' seating position is specialised and designed for safety, vision and control.
A correct seating position is an upright but relaxed posture, enabling the driver to sit low enough in their seat to force their line of sight to the horizon. Legs extend comfortably, operating each pedal by positioning the right foot below the brake and pivoting right to engage the accelerator.
The steering wheel sits at distance that encourages the driver to have an extended arm when resting their forearm ontop, allowing for a bend in each arm when holding in the optimal position. Buttons, controls and levers are strategically designed to be within immediate reach of the operator.
This intentional, ergonomic design in the cabin of a vehicle maximises safety and enables the driver to react, with urgency. Every detail from a moulded seat to the height of the dash is tailored to keep the driver safe and in command of their vehicle at maximum speed.
Learning to drive safely starts with a basic understanding of the importance of command and control.
