Roy

Roy brings a rare breadth of experience to his driving instructing style having spent 25 years operating across rail, road, and air working as a train driver, truck driver, bus driver, and even a pilot. Few professionals can speak to the operational realities of so many transport modes firsthand, giving Roy a uniquely well-rounded perspective on safety, logistics, and the human factors that keep us safe on the road.

Having worked his way through such varied environments from the discipline of rail operations, to the endurance and route planning of long-haul trucking, to the customer-facing demands of bus driving, to the precision and protocol required in aviation Roy has developed a deep, practical understanding of what it takes to operate safely and professionally in any transport setting.

Known for his calm, methodical approach and clear communication, Roy enjoys mentoring others and sharing the knowledge he's built across four decades' worth of transport modes in a quarter-century career. He's looking forward to teaching the next generation of drivers, drawing on real-world experience rather than theory alone.
