My daughter has had lessons from a couple of instructors but she found Derrick was by far the best. She said he has an excellent teaching style that made her feel relaxed and less nervous. I sat in the car with them on one occasion and picked up many useful driving pointers that I was not aware of. My daughter especially appreciated when Derrick praised her for good driving habits. She just passed her test at Sherwood in Derrick's car and commented that his modern, compact car was easy to drive and made her feel much more comfortable to do the test in rather than doing it in our larger car. An exceptional instructor. Very highly recommended.

Derrick was recommended to us originally by a friend in the neighbourhood who had tried many driving instructors. We only used Derrick for my daughter's driving lessons and I have no problem rating him 5 stars and in fact have recommended him to a number of friends already. Friendly, reliable, flexible, professional and supportive. Even assisted us the night before my daughters driving test to allow us to book the use of his car due to the vehicle she was going to use being unsuitable. Happy to report she passed her test on the first attempt with few minors. Thanks Derrick!!

Derrick was an excellent instructor! I recently moved to Brisbane from the US and wanted a boost of confidence behind the wheel on the left side of the road. Derrick was knowledgeable, friendly and pointed out the differences of Australian road rules that I needed to be aware of. After the lesson I was much more confident behind the wheel on the wrong side of the road.
