Absolutely amazing before my exam. Went through all the questions, prepared me for the manoeuvres they could ask and even drove around the area I did my test so I was prepared. Definitely worth it.

Derrick is an amazing instructor, patient, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job preparing my son for his test. We have had a few lessons throughout the year but the last one was the evening before his test, allowing him to go into the test with a clear head and positive focus, knowing he was ready and fully prepared. Derrick was an excellent instructor! I recently moved to Brisbane from the US and wanted a boost of confidence behind the wheel on the left side of the road. Derrick was knowledgeable, friendly and pointed out the differences of Australian road rules that I needed to be aware of. After the lesson I was much more confident behind the wheel on the wrong side of the road.

Derrick was extremely patient and had the best techniques to teach me how to do specific manoeuvres, his style of teaching incorporates visuals with his hot wheels cars and he also talks you through your driving to help if you have severe anxiety like I do. He was encouraging and easy to talk to. 10/10

I booked a lesson with him a week out from my driving test at Sherwood and he helped me get to grips with what would be asked of me in the test itself.

Although we only had an hour together I was able to get a clearer picture of what I needed to practice more of and what I was already good at. All of which I’d like to think helped me pass.

Cannot say enough good things about Derrick!
I was incredibly nervous about learning to drive but after just two lessons I was already loving being behind the wheel.
Derrick is extremely knowledgeable, as well as calm and patient (and always up for a chat!). He even had great recommendations for my first car.
I passed my test on the first go and know that a lot of that was due to my lessons with Derrick.
