I feel very lucky to have Gary as my driving instructor. He is incredibly kind, understanding, and supportive, always making the lessons calm, clear, and encouraging. I was never brave enough to even attempt a practical driving test until I met Gary, who truly pushed me into a positive mindset for driving. Although I wasn’t successful in my first test, it was due to my own nerves on the day — not at all a reflection of Gary’s amazing teaching. Thanks to his incredible skills, patience, and encouragement, I now feel much more confident and motivated to keep going. I recently completed my lessons with Gary and passed my driving test today, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Gary is very friendly, patient, and calm, which made learning to drive a lot less stressful. His instructions are clear and easy to follow, and if I didn’t understand something, he would explain it again without any pressure. He also makes sure to repeat the important things so they really stick. He took me through actual test routes, ran through test-like scenarios, and pointed out common fail points, which helped me feel well prepared on the day. I started off quite nervous, but he reassured me that it’s normal and even said it shows you care about passing, which helped build my confidence over time. When I made mistakes, he always pointed them out in a constructive way so I could improve, never in a way that made me feel bad. He was also very reliable and easy to deal with. He's always on time, sometimes even early if he was available, and flexible if we needed to adjust lesson times. On top of that, he’s easy to talk to, so it feels more like driving with a friend rather than a formal lesson. I’d highly recommend Gary to anyone learning to drive, whether you’re a complete beginner, a nervous driver, or getting close to your test.

I want to highly recommend Gary Penny as a fabulous driving instructor. We completed about 20 to 25 lessons, which turned out to be the perfect duration for me. That amount of time allowed me to get a really nice grip on my car handling skills. I never felt rushed during our sessions, and I learned at a comfortable pace.
